My Thoughts and Predictions for WWE Extreme Rules
1. Fatal Four Way for the United States Championship:
Kofi Kingston (c) v MVP v William Regal v Matt Hardy
I like the idea of Kofi winning the US title, i think MVP is set for bigger and better things, and so is Hardy i think, but he has to get rid of the riduculous cast gimmick. Regal i could care less for, so im gonna pick Kofi to retain, and be the face of the mid-carders on Raw again.
2. Triple Threat Hardcore Match for the ECW Championship:
Christian (c) v Tommy Dreamer v Jack Swagger
the storyline behind this is that, Dreamer promised to win the ECW Title before his contract expires or he will retire, and well his contract expires on sunday, so he must win or he is gone, he steps in the middle of the fued between Swagger and Christian, i think Swagger takes this one, and ends Tommy Dreamer.
3. Hog Pen Match:
Vickie Guerrero vs Santina Marella
who cares. i pick santina
4. Samoan Strap Match:
CM Punk Vs Umaga
again i like this matchup, i think that it works well for both of these two, because i think they will both be headlining the wwe for awhile, i think Umaga will pick up the win this time as he did at the last PPV, and i think he will fued with Undertaker heading into Summerslam, which i would look forward too
5. No Holds Barred Match for the Intercontinental Championship:
Rey Mysterio (c) vs Chris Jericho
Jericho has been on fire lately with his promos, and his work in the ring, you could almost argue that he is the best preformer that the wwe has, i hate him, and i really dont hate anyone in the wwe, but he plays his role very well, should be a good to great match between these two, i think that Mysterio will come up with the win in this one tho. i think that Jericho will continue to fued with mysterio until he gets the IC title from him.
6. Submission Match:
The Big Show vs John Cena
i think this will play up to be, Show dominating the match, and Cena is unable to strap on the STFU, and at the end, he will use a crafty way to actually put the hold on Big Show, setting up a matchup between Cena and the winner of the WWE championship cage match.
7. Steel Cage Match for the WWE Championship:
Randy Orton (c) Vs Batista
Randy Orton will win this, it would be stupid for Batista to win, Legacy has been on top of Raw almost every week, and it would be a major setback for the entire show if Orton loses, although with WWE logic, i dont see them being logical.
8. Ladder Match for the World Heavyweight Championship:
Edge (c) Vs Jeff Hardy
maybe this shows saving grace could be this Ladder match, both of these are used to using ladders, and have always put on a good show in these types of matches, if given the time, this could possibly be the best match of the year outside of HBK/Taker from WM 25, i see Edge retaining and facing a new opponent at Night of Champions at the next PPV.
